Pakistan’s skipper Misbah-ul-Haq scored a magnificent century and held the Pakistan’s first inning together on the first day of the second Test at Dubai.

Pakistan did not go into the Test series against Sri Lanka as favourites. This was specifically because they had not won a Test series in Sri Lanka in nearly a decade. But, it must be said they put up a fantastic performance to pull off a memorable series triumph.

Pakistan's batting veteran Younis Khan starred with an unbeaten 171 as the visitors registered a historic victory, chasing down their highest ever total, that of 377 set by Sri Lanka at Pallekele.

With the three-Test series tied 1-1, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka will look to go all out to clinch the series in the third Test at Pallekele. Pakistan won the first Test at Galle with ease while Sri Lanka fought back equally well to claim the second match at Colombo comprehensively.

Asian giants Sri Lanka and Pakistan will feature in yet another series when the Galle Test kicks off on Wednesday. While the matches between the two sides have been evenly contested, Sri Lanka have always had the advantage while playing at home.
